    Jerome Clark began the formal study of guitar at Grinnell Music Studios in Detroit, MI. While attending private lessons he met renowned Detroit Guitarist Perry Hughes. Under Perry’s tutelage he began to play several clubs in and around the City. Some notable performances were with New York’s own Marlena Shaw and the late Charles “The Organ Grinder” Earland. While continuing his education at Eastern Michigan University he met the late Dr. Morris Lawrence, Director of Music for Washtenaw Community College. Under his directive he was exposed to all forms of music. During the past two decades Jerome has performed at world renown Bakers Keyboard Lounge, The Bird of Paradise in Ann Arbor, MI, the Chicago Theater, the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, and countless private engagements.

    With their natural performing ability and dynamic vocals and instrumentation, Elevation ft. Chiara is one of the premiere R&B/Pop/Jazz groups in the area. Hailing from Detroit, the members have been performing together for a decade and perform with some of the best musicians in and around metro Detroit.
    In their impressive professional career, Elevation ft. Chiara has performed all over metro-Detroit to much fanfare. They have been featured at Savoy Detroit, The Aretha Jazz Café, the David Whitney Hotel, Bert’s Jazz Room, Hammer & Nail, and numerous private events. Their sound fuses traditional R&B and pop with smooth jazz fusion and some dance music.

The group specializes is both classic jazz standards, as well as more modern jazz/rock classics. The Trio features Mark LoDuca Sr. on piano and vocals, Robert Conner on bass and Julian VanSlyke on drums. All veterans of the local jazz seen.

    Kenny Parker’s blues education began with the Beatles in the early 1960s, but it wasn’t long before he discovered the roots of their music. Parker grew up in Albion, Michigan and began playing in his first band, the Esquires, at 14. He discovered Albert King and B.B. King in high school via the local record store, and he took his inspiration from them. After graduating from Eastern Michigan University in 1976 and took a job in a Cadillac factory while looking around for the right opportunities to play blues at night. He began working with a paragon of the Detroit scene, Mr. Bo (Louis Bo Collins), and later joined the Butler Twins. While Parker toured Europe with the Butler Twins, JSP founder John Stedman heard him and decided to sign him up for his own recording. The Butler Twins accompanied Parker on his debut recording “Raise The Dead,” where he was also backed by harp master Darrell Nulisch, best known for his work with Anson Funderburgh and the Rockets
