His excellent solo album 'The Mission Band' showcases both his songwriting and his performance collaborations, and won the Detroit Music Award for best Americana Album. Billy's love for music is infectious, and his embrace of different genres brings a richness and an expanse to his shows. With their natural performing ability and dynamic vocals and instrumentation, Elevation ft. Chiara is one of the premiere R&B/Pop/Jazz groups in the area. Hailing from Detroit, the members have been performing together for a decade and perform with some of the best musicians in and around metro Detroit.
In their impressive professional career, Elevation ft. Chiara has performed all over metro-Detroit to much fanfare. They have been featured at Savoy Detroit, The Aretha Jazz Café, the David Whitney Hotel, Bert’s Jazz Room, Hammer & Nail, and numerous private events. Their sound fuses traditional R&B and pop with smooth jazz fusion and some dance music.

David James is a dynamic guitarist, songwriter, and full-time performer based in Detroit, known for his expressive playing and genre-spanning versatility. With roots in metal, hip hop, reggae, pop, jazz, and country, his current work fuses indie, soul, and jazz-inflected hip hop — blending groove-driven rhythms with emotive guitar lines and sharp musicality.

Michael and Marsha Evans

Michael and Marsha Evans were both educated in the Detroit Public School system and actively receiving music education in that system as well as privately (vocal and instrumental) with both acquiring baccalaureate degrees at universities within the state of Michigan. The pair have performed together and individually with entertainers such as Kenny Latimore, Aaliyah, and opened for Marion Meadows. They have worked with a myriad of other local musical professionals as well in the greater Detroit area with Michael having been a piano accompanist in Detroit Public Schools for 25 years and Marsha performing as a vocal finalist for the annual WDIV Fire Works show competition. The couple met and later married being hired to both perform for an event through a mutual friend.

Tom Alter

Tom Alter is a talented singer-songwriter, known for his soulful voice and poignant lyrics that resonate with audiences. His songwriting often reflects personal experiences, social issues, literature and history. He records and performs regularly with singer/songwriter Katie Williamson as the duo After Blue. Katie will be joining Tom for a portion of the evening.
Tom has released ten albums of original recordings as a solo artist and After Blue has released for collections. Their music is available on all streaming platforms.

The C Notes

FISHBONES GREEKTOWN 400 Monroe St., Detroit, MI, United States

The “C” Notes is a long established jazz trio in Detroit, regularly performing at local jazz clubs and restaurants. The group specializes is both classic jazz standards, as well as more modern jazz/rock classics. The Trio features Mark LoDuca Sr. on piano and vocals, Robert Conner on bass and Julian VanSlyke on drums. All veterans of the local jazz seen.
