Douglas Brown is a multi-talented eclectic artist. His roots are in Blues, R&B, Jazz, Rock, and Folk. Douglas has played with acts local, national, and international. He has played with artists as varied as Chuck Berry, North Star (a band consisting of members of Smokey Robinson's backup band), The Four Tops, Martha Reeves, Tommy Bolin, Norma Bell, Spyder Turner, The Garfield Blues Band, Koko Taylor, Mighty Joe Young, Dennis Coffey, jazz great Cameron Brown, free jazz artist Faruk Z Bey, jazz master Billy Heart. He occasionally performs with his daughter Sari Brown and can be heard on one of the tracks from her new release “The Holy Broken Heart”. Sometimes, he gigs with his son, Andrew Brown of Djangophonique and Appleseed Collective fame. He currently plays in the Detroit and Ann Arbor area as a solo artist, in small groups and with the powerhouse 12 piece soul-funk band “Skyline and the Backstreet Horns”.

Corey Dakota is a Singer/Songwriter originally from Detroit, Michigan. Now making his mark on songs out of Nashville, Tennessee. Being inspired by artist such as Jake Owen, Jimmy Buffett all while also having a huge love for rock music and artist such as Nickelback and the Foo Fighters. I like making music that feels right to me and at the end of the day if it’s makes someone feel as good as it makes me feel then I think we’re doing something right.

Recently voted Detroit’s best Americana band by readers of the Detroit Metro Times, The Whiskey Charmers create their own brand of Dusty Americana with melancholy guitar weaving in and out of vocal melodies that tug at your heartstrings and give you the feeling of winding down a dusty desert road.

Carrie Shepard (vocals/acoustic guitar) and Lawrence Daversa (electric guitar/harmony vocals) lead the band which performs both as a duo as well as with a rhythm section consisting of drummer John Porter and bassist Ozzie Andrews.

The Whiskey Charmers have won several Detroit Music Awards and their lonesome sound caught the attention of Sony Entertainment and landed them a music placement as the backdrop for a bar scene in the video game “Detroit: Become Human” (2018) which has sold over eight million copies and introduced their music to new enthusiastic fans around the world.

The Charmers have been releasing albums at a steady clip since 2015 and their latest album “Streetlights” dropped this past June.
