With her marvelous mix of Blues, Rock, Funk and R&B, Detroit singer Tosha Owens has the word ‘ performer ’ written all over her. Often compared to artists such as Gladys Knight, Etta James, Chaka Khan and Janis Joplin, Tosha delivers a unique sound and performance that no other Detroit singer can provide. In addition to her legendary live performances, Tosha Owens is also a highly sought after recording session vocalist. She can be heard on many tracks of local and national artists such as Vinnie Dombrowski of (Sponge), Paul Hill and Michael Hampton of (Parliament Funkadelic), Barrett Strong (Motown Song Writer). Her first complete album titled “Wrong Side of Right,” was released in April 2018, followed by “Right Side of Love.” Tosha is also the winner of 26 Detroit Music Awards. Brett Lucas is an award-winning guitarist, singer-songwriter, and producer, who started his career at a young age performing in Detroit’s blues scene. As a guitarist, Brett has played alongside some of Detroit’s finest blues artists, including Thornetta Davis, Tosha Owens, Johnnie Bassett, and as the guitarist and musical director for international soul legend Bettye LaVette.He has written and released four studio albums, the most recent of which, Soul and Courage, won the 2020 Detroit Music Award for Outstanding Blues Recording. He is the winner of six Detroit Music Awards. Brett has also produced albums for Jeremy Spencer of Fleetwood Mac fame, Tosha Owens, and others.From international festivals to late night talk shows, Brett has played on stages across the world, including the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, Byron Bay Blues Festival in Australia, Carnegie Hall and on many television appearances, including Late Night with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Austin City Limits, and others
